From 1960 - 1974 i actually lived about 1 mile from this hill. In the winter of 1963 we were snowed in from February till early June. No electric or water, we cooked on an open fire & had to melt snow for water. I've always liked the colder weather, but this was too extreme! one day we recorded -27f one day we watched a burst water pipe from a cow trough, as the water shot up into the air, it froze! it never came back down. memories that live forever. The hill in the photo is about 8 miles from where i live, i haven't been there for a couple years, too cold at the moment! but in the summertime it is a glorious place to be & the view is spectacular! I started writting this a year ago & when i thought of a tune this week it was easy to finish off the song. It's good to be up where the birds fly watching over the land as far as the eye can see. looking at passing vechiles in the distant & not hearing a sound, apart from the odd bird whistle or passing jet in the sky.
