To put an end to any further brain ache reading my previous post, I can disclose that the most repetitions of the same word you can have consecutively in a sentence which still makes sense is, as far as I know, eleven. Like this:

In the English exam, John, where James had had had had had had had had had had had the professor's approval.

Good luck getting your heads round that one.

And if you can't, lol, then it's much easier if you put in the correct punctuation:

In the English exam, John, where James had had "had," had had "had had," - "had had" had had the professor's approval.
