Is It In the Eyes or In The Heart?
Is It In the Eyes or In The Heart? The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost. -G. K. Chesterton I'm sure we've all experience love at some time or another in our lives. What I am curious about today is love at first sight. We've heard about it, but does it really exist? Have you ever seen a person and felt love? Has looking into their eyes caused you to get weak in the knees and cause butterflies to dance around in your heart? Did you ever take one look and receive one smile and know you were totally lost? Have you ever met someone and been turned into putty by their words? Did their voice lure you in like the song of a Siren? Did you hang on every word as if it were words from the Burning Bush? Did the first touch of their hand ignite every nerve in your body like a long dried out Christmas tree left too close to the fire? Did just sitting near them make pins and needles course through your body? Yet at the same time all you wanted to do was get closer and closer to them? Is it love? Or is it just infatuation that turns to love? I know what I believe. I'm curious about you. Have a good weekend. See you next time, same Batchannel. Pax! Just Another Geek on Gay Hookup Zone |

I've never experienced love at first sight...perhaps an attraction...but never anything very intense I believe it exists, though... "All you'll get from strangers is surface pleasantry or indifference. Only someone who loves you will criticize you." - Judith Crist, crack film critic

I don't have an answer. Love at first site kicked my ass once and lust has not been a wonderful experience either. People like things to be easy.. simple. Love and something good isn't going to be that easy... so you have to put forth some effort. Would it kill you to do that to have something so beautiful... if he doesn't realize that.. he isn't worth it~ So, I don't know the answer... would I see it in your eyes? Creativity is a drug I cannot live without.

Twice I've experienced this, but I'm gonna go with lust over love. I did however, at those moments of eye contact, realize that I knew those men would be in my life forever... The first one was my kids dad. We were engaged and married within 5 months, and it lasted almost 10 years, so there was some truth to knowing he'd be in my life forever.... The second.. well, so far, 18 months, and there's still a strong connection...who knows?

I have felt love at first sight but it was after talking online for months. So to me, it wasn't truly a love at first sight. When I first met Cowboy I felt something but it was probably lust

I'm not sure, exactly. Men that I am attracted to get me excited pretty easily. Sparks fly...but with my husband, I just glanced at him...and suspected there was something different there. Also, with my lover, I knew pretty quickly that he was important to me. We slept together on the second date, but the first date we were just real comfortable with each other...even a little awkward. By the third time I slept with him, I KNEW then that he was really important to me. It was one of those, "Le coeur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît point." He and I have a special connection.
