Driving Pet Peeves. (Turn Signals????)

I tend to do mostly highway driving here in Rochester, and see this issue on an almost daily basis.
I live by the Airport (rt390) and work by Linden Oaks (rts 441 & 490). I tend to go 390s -> 590n -> 490e -> 441e to get to work, and to get home either backtrack this same pattern, or depending on what I have to do on the way home I go 490w -> 390.

People changing lanes without using their turn signals.
It is the law and while I realize I am probably one of the rare people that usually uses my turn signals even if I am the only person within vision on the road, isn't it common sense to use them?
If the driver is no where near another driver on the road, I realize it is no big deal. My feathers get ruffled when there is traffic on the roads, and the lane changing driver is within a couple of car lengths from the other vehicles on the road. Now I have been driving for 27 years this coming July 01. I have done a majority of my driving in the northeastern United States (Primarily in: Western CT, Central PA, NYC Metro Area, Detroit Metro Area, North Eastern NJ, and here in the Greater Rochester Area.) with occasional driving experiences in other areas of the country. (Including: Many areas in Arizona, Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA, Dallas TX, Baltimore - Washington DC, Central WI and Boston MA)

Of all of these areas, I would have to rate Northeast NJ as the worst. It is NO WONDER that NJ has the highest auto insurance rates in the country. It almost seemed that in Northeast NJ, IF you use your turn signal, other drivers will try to BLOCK you out!

The area that I perceived to have drivers that were the most courteous and followed the traffic rules was Central Wisconsin.

WHY????
It's not like it takes anything away from your ability to drive, nor does it even require any effort to use turn signals.

Are people just THAT lazy, stupid, selfish, or ignorant???

Hugs and well placed kisses - Chris

I hear ya Purp.
You would think that in the state where the car essentially was born, they would know better how to drive the damned things.

I use my turn signals often going the opposite way..and hit the brakes for no reason just to mess with ya. I knew that was you behind me

Sure sure GC, or were you just hoping I might 'rear end' you?
- wink wink -
If so, all you have to do is ask.

Hugs and well placed kisses - Chris

Sorry Flirty.
And I know that you are also trying to drive Dos's stick at the same time.
