Just Drifting Ghosts of Glass or Something It's been forever and a day since I was here last. Been busy, real busy. Got a life or something when I wasn't looking. Actually, that's a pretty glib bullshit statement. I think I found the life I've been looking for all along. I found a terrific lady. I put a ring on her finger. I stuck with her through breast cancer treatment. I think the world of her. I love our life together. She makes me laugh. She keeps me on the right path. She thinks I'm weird. She likes my cooking. She brought home a kitten last week. A miniature version of the cat we already have. Add deliriously happy to any list of mental disturbances you might have been keeping about me. I usually hate posts like this, but I really wanted to put this one out there along with bunches of gratitude to everyone who kept pushing me kicking and screaming - we took turns with the kicking and the screaming, didn't we? - in the right direction. Am removing him from my head, my shoulder, the usb cables he's chewing on, the puddle of water he just spilled on my desk, and other fun pursuits whilst i attempt to type this as he walks across my keyboard. (cue sappy soundtrack and segue into soft focus nostalgia) Very cool that you and A are still buds, lots of good chemistry and catalysting (sometimes heavy on the cattle, sometimes heavy on the sting, always heavy on the hipness). Please inform him that I did finally complete my quest for the holy grail of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, The Creme Brulee. And it was everything he promised; although I did not actually see God during the out of body experience, unless God lives in Vermont. The kitten is a trip! Named Horace, to go with Jasper, to complete the duo of dog nappers from 101 Dalmations, but call him Jack. Both Silver Tabbys, they hit it off pretty well after only 36 hours. Seems to think he should sleep under the covers with his head on the pillow between the two biggest cats. Too cute! Good to see you blogging. She came thru it like a champ! When she woke up after the surgery, the nurse said, "Wow! Your hair still looks great!". She looked absolutely beautiful. We found a great team to work with, and the 6 month follow up visit was all clear. Chin up, fingers crossed, keep moving forward! Most people are other people...
