Avoiding Germs: Some Tricks & Myths

I'm ordering a "bubble". It's the only solution.

It's a scary world out there sexyldy. I cringe when I see people do some of this stuff in public. Paper towel in the restroom enables "the great escape" for me and I'm always watching for people that serve food after handling money. I'll pass thank you!

I wonder where we lost perspective, and - though not normally prone to conspiracy theories, I think the cleanliness revolution that started in the early 20th century (actually, civil war and before in some ways), just never stopped and got a rational look at itself. We have tens of thousands of products that are related to unnecessary sanitation. Wipes, gloves, gizmos, goos, and claims that '9 out of 10 doctors prefer'... well, maybe that's a bit old. My point is that some of the scariest illnesses are picked up in hospitals where all kinds of crazy chemicals and techniques are used to try to keep things sanitary. We got to a point where it's easy to wash hands in many countries, where we're generally clean and sanitary in our habits, and where plagues and other dastardly illnesses are infrequent - this is all aside from immunization and healthcare that can easily cure so many things. Doesn't it make you wonder whether we're wasting one hell of a lot of our lives worrying and paying for solutions to problems that don't exist? And then there's food expiration dates. We chuck stuff because it expired rather than because it's bad. We toss medications out as if they go bad the day they hit that date on the side! Are we really that insane?? Imagine how many jobs would be lost if we didn't have these products though! I wash my hands frequently, and have read several places that in the absence of any other option, even washing without soap is better than constantly using hand sanitizers. And I'll note - I don't remember the last time I had any flu-like thing of any kind beyond a mild fever. I just can't waste all that time worrying about it. Like television, we spend nearly 10 years of our lives watching it on average! Wasted time!! Cheers! WW

lol... tried all of these. I worked in facilities, and got numerous reports of clogged toilets... people would "build a nest" of toilet paper, and once finished push into the toilet, flush and clog.
