 I'm a soldier (which is why your post got my attention) and I have *NEVER* just 'no-show'-ed a date. At the very least, I try to communicate at least a few hours in advance if I have doubts that I'll be able to make it.

By the way, 36JJs? Holy huge ta-tas, Batman...

 I have been in the 'life' for years now. There are some who love the fantasy of talking a good game, sending pix, web cam shows, phone calls...everything one would do when they plan on meeting, but then they never meet in person. Only they know why they take that route instead of being upfront about not intending to meet.

 Thank you all, you are probably right, age may be the issue.

We just assumed that young military men would hold their "word" in higher regard than the general population.
