Luck Runs In Streaks
Luck Runs In Streaks Sometimes the dice just roll your way... I've been looking for someone local to do oil painting restorations and cleaning. I had guy in NYC who did great work but he was a bit pricey and the shipping back and forth added a lot to my cost. As I was opening the shop this morning a man came in and asked if there is any space for rent in this building. He's looking for a small studio to rent to do his art restoration! I gave him the landlord's phone number. We talked a bit and I might just have found a new and local art restoration resource. Then 5 minutes later I got a call from American Moulding Company. They wanted to set up an appointment to show me their catalog. I was buying several thousand feet a year of custom made frame moulding from a firm in Syracuse but they closed their business at the end of last year and I need to find another manufacturer. I asked if they do any custom manufacturing - and they do! He'll be here later this week and I can show him what I need. Based on the phone conversation I'm very hopeful. So, if my luck holds out, both of these will work out and two solutions just fell into my lap! All before the coffee was done brewing. Ever have your luck run in streaks like that? Update: The good luck continues. I ordered a small amount of frame moulding from a distributor this morning knowing that it's a "special order" meaning they don't stock it and order it from the manufacturer which adds almost a week to the delivery time. They just called back and said they do have a small amount left over - just enough - from when they used to carry it inventory. That's 3 - so my good luck for the day has probably run itself out... En-Joy! |

Sounds like it is a very lucky day for you. I can't remember right now is I have had good streaks like that, so if I did it didn't leave a lasting impression.
