Canopy Of Snow
Canopy Of Snow After it stopped snowing I took some pictures of our street and the canopy that grew over it. My cousins and nieces and nephews in the New England coast area all are OK after the storm. My thoughts are with my blogging friends in that area with hopes they are safe and warm after the storm. We got just the fringes of it here. Just another winter storm. Nine inches in the city, up to a foot by the lake. We didn't get the high winds. The first snow was dense and sticky with small, compact snow flakes. "Heart attack" snow. Heavy snow for shoveling. The kind with a near vertical "angle of repose" that you can practically stack up as you shovel it. Great snowman and snow sculpture material. Or for making snow forts. That's the kind of snow that's formed in (relatively) warmer air, nearer to the freezing point. As the storm passed it got colder and the snow changed to big fluffy flakes. I hope everyone is warm and in good spirits today! En-Joy! |

Beautiful pictures, reminds me of home. Glad you are safe and didn't get all the high winds with it.

I particularly like pictures of trees, and they are so pretty when laden with snow (as long as the branches don't get so heavy they break). I'm relieved you didn't end up with much snow you can't handle it - but also worried about some of my other blogger friends who might have been hard hit by tons of snow. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.
