Love songs are supposed to make you feel
Mellow...
Nostalgic memories...
some just moments before.
Others from what seems light years ago.

Soft melodies with words
that were just right...
at the time.

They will always be with you.

And they will always bring back
how it was... and how it could have been...
and is.

(He was right, you know.)
From "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
you certainly "Colour My World..."
"Baby, I Need Your Lovin'."

"You Are So Beautiful."

"For Once In My Life"
"You're My Latest,Greatest,Inspiration."
You brought me from "The Poor Side Of Town"
down to "Mainstreet."
And as long as "You Accompany Me"
and don't "Walk On By..."
I'll make it through all
"The Fire And Rain"
and "Close The Door"
to "The Sad Cafe."

It's not
"Just My Imagination,(Running Away With Me)"
that I "Feel Wonderful Tonight,"
cause "You Took My Breathe Away."

And I "Imagine"
"Your Song..."
our "Love Serenade..."
will forever keep away

Hun... I'm very glad it stirred up those mighty fine memories. It was fun to write and listen to all those songs. They are all on my ipod.

 Lys... After looking at your blog, it's pretty easy to see why you would enjoy this poem of "borrowed words/titles." Your blog is very interesting. I would enjoy checking in there every now and then... just to see where you've taken it... if you don't mind.

As for my weekend... well, I'm sitting here on my birthday, alone... trying to put some words together that makes some kind of sense. LOL! Now, some may say that sounds terrible, or at best, pathetic. Perhaps it is. Funny, I don't really feel that way. The need to write can sometimes outweigh personal thoughts and feelings.

I will survive!
