Sex and the China Flu.... Hey..common sense: Don't have sex for awhile..

Yes, this Wuhan Flu is serious. Just a good idea to practice safer sex and better personal hygiene. Not everybody that catches Covid-19 [aka China Flu, aka Wuhan Flu] are going to become deathly ill. The most vulnerable are the elderly and those with compromised immunity conditions, such as heart, lung, kidney problems, diabetics, HIV carriers. And yes, even teens and 20 somethings can get this Flu, and if they are health-compromised this could be serious for them, too.

In Italy, [as of 3/23]"More than 5,500 Italians are testing positive every day, with the average age of those dying 78.5."

“In many cities there are people who still don’t understand the importance of staying at home,” Chiaravalle added. “We need strict rules, all medics agree with the rules as one of the only weapons we have to fight this is to isolate. It is a sacrifice by all, for all, to try and overcome this situation.”

Anyway... I found this New York City Health guidelines to be informative, hope you can read it.

1. Know how COVID-19 spreads.
• You can get COVID-19 from a person who has it.
o The virus can spread to people who are within about 6 feet of a person with
COVID-19 when that person coughs or sneezes.
o The virus can spread through direct contact with their saliva or mucus.
• We still have a lot to learn about COVID-19 and sex.
o COVID-19 has been found in feces of people who are infected with the virus.
o COVID-19 has not yet been found in semen or vaginal fluid.
o We know that other coronaviruses do not efficiently transmit through sex.

2. Have sex with people close to you.
• You are your safest sex partner. Masturbation will not spread COVID-19, especially if you
wash your hands (and any sex toys) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before
and after sex.
• The next safest partner is someone you live with. Having close contact — including sex
— with only a small circle of people helps prevent spreading COVID-19.
• You should avoid close contact — including sex — with anyone outside your household.
If you do have sex with others, have as few partners as possible.
• If you usually meet your sex partners online or make a living by having sex, consider
taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting or chat rooms may be options
for you.

3. Take care during sex.
• Kissing can easily pass COVID-19. Avoid kissing anyone who is not part of your small circle
of close contacts.
• Rimming (mouth on anus) might spread COVID-19. Virus in feces may enter your mouth.
• Condoms and dental dams can reduce contact with saliva or feces, especially during oral
or anal sex.
• Washing up before and after sex is more important than ever.
o Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
o Wash sex toys with soap and warm water.
o Disinfect keyboards and touch screens that you share with others (for video chat, for
watching pornography or for anything else).

4. Skip sex if you or your partner is not feeling well.
• If you or a partner may have COVID-19, avoid sex and especially kissing.
• If you start to feel unwell, you may be about to develop symptoms of COVID-19, which
include fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath.
• If you or your partner has a medical condition that can lead to more severe COVID-19,
you may also want to skip sex.
o Medical conditions include lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, cancer or a
weakened immune system (for example, having unsuppressed HIV and a low CD4 count).

5. Prevent HIV, other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unplanned pregnancy.
• HIV: Condoms, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and having an undetectable viral load all
help prevent HIV. For more information, visit nyc.gov/health and search HIV.
• Other STIs: Condoms help prevent other STIs. Visit nyc.gov/health and search STIs.
• Pregnancy: Make sure you have an effective form of birth control for the coming weeks.

Hi, I haven't logged on here in a while. Did they really take away the "magazine" section?! That was like one of the best aspects of this site... Now it just seems like articles... damn.

Can't say i agree with your political side...
but shrugs, I'm not one who has to agree with everything
anyone says anyways...

Either way, good informative post...
remained covid free and received my vaccination.
and yeah, Ive finally been getting safe fun action on the side these days...
good times...

When I'm good, I'm great, but when I'm bad, I'm even better...

Heathen_G replies on 8/23/2021 3:12 am:
I agree, that part was fun. I think the site did remove the interactive portion of the Magazine. Really too bad, too.

Donald and his nonsense are on borrowed time, unless Putin and voter suppression helps him out. We should never support or respect a guy who supports dictators. Just saying!

Funny women are incredibly sexy!

What are you talking about?

President Trump will be our next President. This China Virus wasn't his fault.

At the risk of belaboring an argument that is pointless, I will offer that my field is planetary astronomy, not virology, but I do know a lot of those folks. If I were to discover a new moon of Neptune, this week, there is an established protocol for how that moon will be named. I will have a small degree of opportunity to provide suggestions within the guidelines, which require that the moon carry a name associated in mythology with Neptune, Poseidon or something associated with nautical lore. The International Astronomical Union will make the final decision as to the official name for the moon. Should Donald Trump or any number of other politicians from either side of the aisle attempt to weigh in on the discussion, their input will carry exactly zero weight. Viruses are named by the World Health Organization and the ICTV in accordance with established guidelines. Per criteria established 4 years ago, names of countries or geographical features are no longer permissable in the naming. Again, American politicians on either side of the aisle have no voice in the names the virus carries. In the case of Corona Virus and Covid-19, here is the official naming information: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/technical-guidance/naming-the-coronavirus-disease-(covid-2019)-and-the-virus-that-causes-it

Heathen_G replies on 3/25/2020 8:32 pm:
That's "President Donald Trump"..

And even so, if the World Health Organization names a new virus for the records...if people know its origin... people will call it by its origination.

There is really nothing wrong with calling COVID-19, the "China Flu". The Chinese , too, probably call it "China Flu"

While I agree that there will always be people who will react violently, the use of improper names for the virus can incite more of this type of activity and create public confusion. The proper name of the virus is Corona Virus. Neither the name "Wuhan" or "China Virus" is accepted in the scientific community, and are improper per the criteria accepted globally by the scientific community. Incidentally, you mentioned that if a virus was discovered in Sweden, we would call it "Swedish Flu." First, no we wouldn't. That is no longer acceptable under standards established, and really never has been. Second, not all viral infections are influenza. This virus is a perfect example.

Heathen_G replies on 3/25/2020 8:26 pm:
Screw established standards... that's has made us very weak.

It's the Chinese Flu..that's the origin. It came from Wuhan. Don't be a covidiot.

Look, even calling it "Corona" you have people afraid to drink corona beer.

And yes, if the Swedes messed up, we would be calling the flu a "Swedish Flu". Or the , "Scorberderber Flu"... like how the Swedish chef on Sesame Street would call it.

just to note; Every year we lose tens of thousands more just to the common flu virus.

And 99 percent of people who do/will catch the C-19 virus will survive.

Two points of accuracy....First, this is not a flu virus. Covid-19 is not a type of flu. Second, the name of the virus that causes Covid-19 is Corona Virus, not the "China Virus." Per guidelines established by the World Health Organization 4 years ago, viruses no longer carry names identifying them to geographical areas or features, for example Ebola, named after a river in Congo (where it was first identified) or West Nile, a river in Uganda (where it was first identified.) Naming viruses after countries has never been done. Somebody will likely offer the example of German Measles (caused by the Rubella Virus), but that was not named after Germany, but rather German scientists who identified it. They were not particularly honored. Then there is Spanish Flu, but that was named rather accidentally. The epidemic didn't even break out on the Iberian Peninsula. People in Spain started joking that it was spreading as rapidly as a catchy opera tune in the day (The Spanish Lady) and the name unfortunately stuck to the virus. Given the violence that has been committed of late against the Asian-American community as the result of this outbreak, the name association of "China Virus" only further fosters bad behavior.

Heathen_G replies on 3/24/2020 9:22 am:
It's the Wuhan Virus, or China Virus, or Covid-19. There will always be stupid people who react violently. We can't curb our language because of some social retards.

1. Spreading covid 19?
Anyone who has it, isn't reading this blog. You've wasted a bunch your time to type/copy suggestions to the illiterate.

2. Having sex with someone close to you?
... is nothing that I need permission from anyone (including the government) to do. I'm on it! We're ON it.

3. Take care during sex?
*see above FFS *

4. Skipping sex?
*oh FFS *
We're ALL going to HELL!
Some of us... are just taking the fricken freeway to get there!

5. Prevent HIV?
WTF does THAT... have to do with Covid 19?
You're/ they're joking, right?

I appreciate you trying - to do your part... but seriously.
Nobody who's got IT is here.
And everyone who's got it... isn't. And then there are those... who just don't give a f**k... because they're on that highway that I mentioned.

So... What else is new? 🤔

Heathen_G replies on 3/24/2020 9:33 am:
All that is New York health guidelines....whoever wants to read it, may read it...those that don't? Not even a concern.

    Quoting Heathen_G:
Common sense... but we all know "Good sense" is not always that "Common".
all good advice.

surprising that it would come from you, of all people,
who just a month ago was insulting anyone who was raising concerns,
calling them hysteric and telling everyone
to "relax, its just another flu",
and all the while quoting the flus millions of deaths statistics.

you still have to get over your brain-washed love for your talking head,
but at least youre (hopefully) finally getting the seriousness of this plague,
which your talking head denied for almost two months
before doing anything meaningful.

you CANT DENY any of the TRUE, DOCUMENTED, NOT "FAKE NEWS"
statements below
(with credit to lindoboy100 for the research):

JAN 22: We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China.
FEB 2: We pretty much shut it down coming in from China. We're going to be fine.
FEB 24: The coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.....Stock market starting to look very good to me.
FEB 25: CDC and my administration are doing a great job of handling coronavirus
FEB 25: They have studied, they know very much. In fact they are very close to a vaccine.
FEB 28: The Democrats are politicising the coronavirus. This is their new hoax.
MAR 4: If we have thousands of people that get better just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work - some of them go to work, but they get better.
MAR 5: I NEVER said people that are feeling sick should go to work.
MAR 6: Anybody right now and yesterday, anybody that needs a test gets a test. And the tests are beautiful. They are perfect.........
MAR 6: I don't need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn't our fault.
MAR 8: We have a perfectly coordinated and fine tuned plan at the White House for our attack on coronavirus.
MAR 10: It will go away. Just stay calm, it will go away.
MAR 13: ~ Declares National Emergency ~

and NOW you have advice? although good advice, finally,
its two months late,
AND with no apologies for past deconstructive abusive behavior.
at least ONE of your two faces is finally saying something useful.

have a nice day.

"well only get through this if we work together. if we dont, none of us will"

Heathen_G replies on 3/23/2020 11:04 pm:
You're not raising concerns. You are inciting panic and hysteria. You need to be supervised online. You're not safe, you're a problem to those trying to remain calm and rational.

This China Flu is a flu.... a nasty one, but still a flu virus. No apologies.

It will go away. Respect your President, because he will be our President again in November of 2020.

Heathen_G replies on 8/23/2021 3:17 am:
This United States would be in a much better place had President Trump gotten re-elected. Biden is such a traitor to this country.

You mentioned different names for the virus, but forgot what we call it here in the good 'ol US of A, the Trump Virus. Too bad he didn't act sooner At least he got a pandemic named after him.

Heathen_G replies on 3/23/2020 10:54 pm:
He acted very quickly... much more quickly had a Democrat been in Office. We'd be like Italy, or worse. Have more respect for your President. He deserves respect. He's earned it.

The term china flu is racist. Viruses occur in many parts of the world and to no fault of everyone. They have been around since man has been here.

Heathen_G replies on 3/23/2020 10:49 pm:
The name, "China Flu" is not racist. It originate in China.

When a flu originates in Sweden, we can call it the Swedish Flu.

Doing so, is not being racist.... you should know better than that.

Just in case the important part gets messed up:

1. Know how COVID-19 spreads.
