I hope one keeps track of the answers among different genders. I suspect they are very different. In this Mars/Venus world, the thought processes are not the same. I could only move forward on this. They are an ex for a reason, and that would preclude anything more.~~

Hmmmm, My 2 living EX-wives, NOOOOOO !! But most of my ex GFs, of course, and have when they asked. Have gone years between meetings with a few of my ex GFs, not really ex's I guess, we both just moved on for awhile. Sadly, the best of them are gone, either by extreme distance, or in the case of 3, dead, 2 diabetics, 1 from MS complications. But Ex-wives are Ex's for good reasons as a rule, so NO, hell NO !!

It does depend on the ex. There are a couple of my old girlfriends that I would be open to dating because either we split on decent terms or we've just grown a lot over the last 20 odd years. My ex wife though? hard pass.
