How is it that some people are able to be so damn chipper in the hours before 10 or 11am??? Perfect example is a friend that needed to pick something up from me this morning, He said that He'd be over at 9am...and at 8:30 my phone rings and he's already at the door. And just to make it worse, the bastige said he'd been up since 4am!
I'm finding that I'm becoming a bit more acceptable of the morning hours, but I'll never be a so-called "morning person". From all the 24 hour shifts I worked as a medic, all the late nights I worked as a bouncer and barback, and from my complete inability to sleep at times, over the years I have become rather...nocturnal...almost vampiric (the bright light thru the window when I'm trying to sleep is evi).
Unfortunately, this bilogical schedule isn't the most condusive to a normal social life. But adjusting to becoming a functional, daywalking, member of society...if only for 2 days a week is seeming to get easier as I get older. Is this because I'm becoming more of an old fart? Will I soon begin craving soft, bland, food on blue plates at 4 in the afternoon? Will my pants start a journey from my waist to somewhere just south of my chest? This remains to be seen. But all I have to say, no matter why the daylight is becoming less of a deadly force against me, it's SO MUCH easier to accept with someone awesome to share it with.
Here's to not bursting into flames as I walk out into the sunlight.
