When did 3somes become so normal

I have heard of drinking binges and drug binges but has anyone ever heard of 3some binges? Or I guess the better question is when did they become normal?
The other day while my wife was naked and sleeping on the couch and I was busy whoopin some Halo booty the doorbell rang. I hurried up and put my clothes on to answer the door when it opened by itself. In walked a woman that we have sexual exploits with. We call her Toy and most of our cam viewers know her by the same name. She had borrowed Trisha's (wife) keys and was coming over to drop off some clothes she had been lent.
She kissed me on the cheek told me what she was doing and as I returned downstairs I disrobed and sat back down on the floor to continue my game. A few moments later Toy came down the stairs naked sat on my lap gave me a hug and started telling me about her day.
To me this was not alarming or strange or even uncomfortable. After a few moments she leaned over and placed a kiss on my wife's bare ass and told her how cute she was. She rolled over opened her eyes blew Toy a kiss who by the by was still naked sitting on my naked lap and went blissfully back to sleep. Again I did not give this a second thought.
The night before we had all been involved in an amazing sexual adventure. The three of us have become friends and lovers. It's fun and not only filled with sex but friendship as well. There are times when I am malled by them for no reason other to get me worked up. We all walk around the house naked doing normal things.
As I look on it now I don't know how it started. I don't know when that kind of situation could become a normal thing to do. We talk about finding a girlfriend who will move in with us and share our bed. How we would all need to test the bed to make sure it was comfortable. About what chores we all would do or even upgrading to a 3 car garage. I don't know when this thing we are planning became as simple as deciding what to have for dinner.
This is long I know but my question is this. Is this style of life just being normal for open people, is it morally wrong, when did our belief of man and woman change to man and women? I have questions and now a few concerns. I am not part of a religion that believes in this, nor was i ever exposed to this as a . Our families have been married for 94 years if you add them together. So I guess you could say we came up with this on our own.
