The struggle of connecting with other creative people

Have you ever went on vacation somewhere and throughout your stay you become bored? You look around the rental for something to occupy your time. You decide to kill some time by working on a jigsaw puzzle from that beat up box. After several hours of piecing it all together you are near the end. Then it hits you; you are missing some pieces. You can't just tear it down and pack it up can you? Nope, you search for that damn piece. That's where I am.
Most of my friends already know I've been working on an free adult community. Most of it is complete and recently opened it up to start allowing users to help test everything (BETA stage). A project like this isn't easy to do as you have to have skill in many different areas (programming, network administration, marketing, content creation, etc..). I was foolish to think finding people to help fill some of these areas would be easy. Not at all. Unfortunately, today as people are fed non-stop bullshit on their feeds; they believe everyone is out to con them. The other difficult aspect is finding people that are willing to contribute without pay. Since it's a free community, it takes in no income.
In the end; the search still continues... To find people that just love to be creative and be apart of something. People that feel it's just as much theirs as the rest of the community. As they say, the sun shines on a dog's... you get the point. Where are you?

Frustrating... messages send half the time, pages take forever to load, EVERYTHING needs approval only to get denied... and the chatrooms... I think they built them with the 1st version of flash and never updated. Fact is if it wasn't for the # of users this site would be garbage.
On a positive note.. a few of us began working on newer, functioning adult social site. We'd love for other members to collaborate with us to build something great.
What other issues do you all face on here?
