Beating the censorship in China

All you need to know about accessing sites that are currently blocked by the local servers:

As I had a lot of difficulty in accessing sites such as the BBC and Gay Hookup Zone, I thought I’d find a way to get around it.

If you are having similar problems, just do the following:

Load “Tor” and “Privoxy” onto your computer.
Download these at:
http://tor.eff.org
www.privoxy.org

Then, set up your internet access to go through the proxy server “localhost” using port ”8118” and your sorted.

It works ‒ all the BBC news you can get ‒ and the added bonus of hassle free access to Gay Hookup Zone to boot!
