and stranger sleep
A little lost
and none too sweet
I prick my skin
and wander on
A lonely daze
to muse upon
A bit of change
dashed in the mix
No coin to pass
the restless Styx
A night of quiet
or dear repose
Perhaps the stench
of an unfolded rose
Somewhere near
I'm sure I'll find
Just where I left
my curious mind

Darkness calls
and still I hide..
Illusions -
all of it,
Though I still wonder
sometimes..
The past creeps up
in plain sight
And stabs me
in the back..
A hazy sigh
as feelings
die..
So cold and numb -
Am I dead?
Trapped
in mediocrity
may as well BE
death,
slow and painful..
Crumbling sanity
isn't funny
so stop laughing -
Oh wait, that's me..
Or somebody
like me -
A reflection
I cannot name..
Eyes so vacant -
what do they see?
Do they see hell,
or do they see me?
