Watched the first two of Dara O'Briain's Science Club. The first one on Gentics told me a few things I didn't know. Have yet to see the third one. What does anyone else think of this programme?

Did anyone else see this great drama about the beginnings of the Paraolympic Games? I thought it was well-written, both funny and informative. Hats off to the BBC for putting it onF!

In praise of cheekbones

Just watched some episodes of The Avengers on DVD and Diana Rigg reminded me of the gorgeousness of cheekbones. Rosie Marcel, who plays Jac in Holby City, has ones that some women would die for. Clare Holman, who plays a pathologist in Lewis has good ones too. However, men are not noted for them. Do women notice men's cheekbones? Jack Palance had ones to notice.

Perhaps Cheekbonewatch could be a new TV programme?

I have been watching Taken. The repeat of this great science-fiction series on BBC 2 reminds me how good it is. Unfortunately, it is harder to follow if you catch it in the middle. I especially like Dakota Fanning's voice-over.

There were some cute bear cubs on the new wildlife programme on the BBC. I was amazed at how close the presenter and her bear expert got to the mother and her cubs.
