How Much is Too Much…
Two women go to the zoo. They are having a fabulous day. Towards the end of the day they are by the primate exhibit watching the gorilla. Watching it do absolutely nothing, on a rock formation about the middle of the cage. “Go stand by the bars and I’ll get a picture of you with him in the background” Her friend goes over by the bars. As her friend prepares to take the picture the gorilla takes one leap, lands and pulls her through the bars. He ravages her time after time. It seems to take forever before the keepers arrive, tranquilize the beast and rescue the woman.
Her friend visits her in the hospital as she recovers. When the patient sees her friend she breaks out in tears. Her friend says “Dear, you must be in unbearable pain”. Sobbing, the victim agrees and then says “Your right! It’s been 3 days now and that Bastard hasn’t called, written or even sent flowers! It’s over I tell you, it’s Over!
This “joke” came to me as I was looking for a way to open a discussion on communication in the early part of a relationship. Sorry if I offended anyone. I know some will get a laugh, others a tear- again I apologize.
Sites like this and other initiate a whirlwind of communication-especially for the women. Men on here for some time have probably sent out hundreds if not a thousand of first emails to start something. Add to that the active sending the site does to try and start something for member-good or bad. But when it happens- when it does click, and there “is a live one on the line”-
How often DO you to communicate?
How often do you want to communicate?
How quickly do you respond?
Do you purposely delay responses perhaps so as to play hard to get or not look desperate?
How often does it breakdown at the start?
How quickly do you both look to meet?
Do you have a “set procedure” or just “wing it” when developing a relationship?
If you’ve had a sustained “relationship” over a distance, what level of and type of communication helps you sustain the relationship?
I am asking- just seems fair, I‘ll go first.
I am beginning a relationship with two women now one local one about an hour away. I have met with the local woman (L-for Local) twice now just for drinks if anything this would be a FWB relationship. I met her through a different site CL – the only real woman to respond to some 25 Ads over two months. The other is someone I have wanted to meet from a 3rd site, and followed (not in a stalking way) for about two years. However, I have only recently made contact with her. Both women fit the physical description of what I am looking for but the chemistry seems infinitely better with D-(for distant). Both women have what I will call a sparse communication pattern. L’s far sparser still than D’s. I’ll go several days without hearing from either. This drives me nuts. Granted I sit at home on the computer all day. So I am open to chatting or emailing during the day. I can respond rather quickly compared to someone who works outside the home. They usually communicate at night by email and so far no long chat sessions with either. But I am very disappointed. Each day, morning or night I open my emails and see nothing from them. (don’t you just love the one that say “I Loved your FB profile so I thought I would write”- I don’t HAVE a FB Profile!). D even said she likes to know she’s being thought about. Well,… I am open to telling her that every day. L has some health issues with a family member and is busy with that. Even so I email a brief note every couple of days, but it takes 4EVA! to get a response.

I am a former photographer. Used to have my own business doing head shots for actors and actresses. So I do comment on peoples pictures here frequently. And I see a need to change mine.
I am a professional in the financial arena now and I see so many people on here and other sites with full face pictures. I can't understand that.
I was lucky enough to find a shot that looks very much like me but not enough that someone who knows me would peg me. I cant understand a professional (unless your a or gigolos) sticking up a current full face shot.
So I'll be changing mine shortly....

As we grow up we learn certain "truths" by which we live our lives.
For those more experienced people....
How would you modify these truths with your current understanding of the world.
Example:
Work hard and keep your nose clean and you'll get ahead.
I would change to:
You don't have to work so hard,just sleep with the boss and you'll get ahead.(Note: i am NOT the Boss)
another example:
"scrimp and save so you have money in your golden years"
Changes to:
"save a penny everyday...
That way the mortgage bankers can take it all away"

Today I received an email from "Book of Sex" a spin off or subsidiairy of Gay Hookup Zone. They say they have some excellent matches for me or that some Hot Babe wants to be my friend(and yes the first one was a Hot and Perfect match).
But Because I am NOT a paid member of Book of Sex (BoS) I can't see their Profile. Boo Hoo!
There was this beautiful set of lips, puckered and staring back at me- And Look she's in Coral Gables, FL -
according to BOSex some 9,045 miles from me.
I am not sure whose geography book they are using, but it must be one of the new ones from the public school system...
Cause where I live in Ft Lauderdale, FL - Coral Gables is only 39 miles away.
So Once again Gay Hookup Zone co-opted someone's profile(probably unbeknownst to the owner) and shopped it around to increase traffic flow and revenue.
What ticks me off is- if you join one site, why do I have to join another to see the some persons profile.
I will say no more for fear of ruining a good thing.

It will be interesting to see if this actually makes it out of review. I most recently joined about a month ago. I had been on this site over a year ago for a while and enjoyed it very much; in fact too much. Before joining Gay Hookup Zone, I was a paid member of one other site which is dedicated to married couples looking for an affair. I belonged to a couple of sites as a free member.
Lately I noticed that sites similar to this were popping up like weeds. There were sites for Asian women, then Korean, Thai and Chinese Oriental and Japanese women. Sites dedicated to BBW’s and black women, MIFL’s and Mature women. Almost every day I was sent an offer for a different site with a slightly different tack and defined focus.
Then one day while watching CNN I saw a Friend Finder Network (FFN) scroll by and bingo the light went ON! – trying to increase shareholder value by market segmentation and expansion!
I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR NOT ALL THESE SITES ARE CONNECTED TO Gay Hookup Zone AND I CAN NOT BE SURE Gay Hookup Zone IS ACTUALLY DOING THIS. But it is impacting the marketplace in social media. These companies are from around the world- NY, The Caribbean, UK , The Baltics- I mean they’re HQ’d everywhere. There are a few People on Craigslist snagging photos- they slap up fake profiles and there are companies who pay people to pretend to be site members to attract new paying members. They grab a photo - risqué or not - and post a false profile and then send the free members “Cum on” messages endlessly.
I think the message is clear it’s the old saying “Buyer beware”. I am sure the women are being played as well with a slightly different take or style. All in an effort to increase revenues and share price.
This hasn’t worked out well for Gay Hookup Zone. I can’t say how the others are fairing though. This doesn’t qualify as professional Due Diligence (DD) but it looks like, back around June of 2011 ( I was not on the site at the time) the Initial Offering Price (IP for the Friend Finder Network was 10.00 and last I saw it was at .27 cents with an 81% Down Sentiment. Although I am sure FFN is probably worth millions something tells me no senator or congressional person will investigate this fraud. We’ll never know how many of them got burned in this scam.
IMHO- Gay Hookup Zone and AM have the most real members. The other sites seem to grab photos to create profiles so in the beginning very few, if any real people are on the site. If you read the Terms and Conditions before you sign up it usually refers to the site as an entertainment site, therefore they aren’t matching you – they’re entertaining you (in a sexual context usually).
What’s the old saying? God gave men two heads… but only enough blood to run one at a time-(and sometimes even that’s a struggle).

New rules for meeting....

I have met a couple of people on here and things have gone well, gone better than expected, and gone badly. I assume those are the only 3 options until I am surprised by another. Recently I had lunch with a lady with whom I have been emailing. Things seemed to be going swimmingly until day three- when there was a noticable pull back.
Today we scheduled lunch and I half assumed she would NOT show. I arrived 15 minutes early and went in. She actually showed up. It was ackward as it usually is. The conversation was light and slightly forced. Unfortunately for both of us there was no real connection.
So I am wondering what to do differently. and so are born new rules.
Because of the nature of the relationship I am seaching for I need and require discretion So there really can't be any PDA (Public displays of Affection)Which means I wont fawn over anyone or Kiss and hug them. This might leave a bad or reserved first impression. Not exactly my intention. I usually bring a small private gift if I can.
But the restaurant atmosphere and the proximity of the seat usually limits the conversation.
So My new rules.
1.)A public place
Agree to meet for drinks or lunch. but agree ahead of time to find some place private to talk. Public by sight private for talking.
2.) a Private conversationDon't meet if there is no chemistry before hand, Chances are there won't be after you meet either.
3.) Agree to another meeting before hand - if its not DOA (dead on arrival) ie the person is NOTHING like they described.
4.) Both parties must clearly define what they want. I meet a lot of nice people who don't understand what it really takes and aren't clear on what they want. (OK they ARE clear on 1 thing but they haven't really thought it out.
5.) Agree to limit the PDA's and that limited PDA'S is NO indication of limited attraction or desire.
One of the other things that makes this A little harder is that I am looking for a soulfull connection NOT just a QF and these things RARELY come about in an instant. (nice when they do but it's RARE!)
Any other suggestions?

It's been rather quite around here these days. Maybe the lazy summer doldrum. So I headed over to the local site to see what was going on. The usual postings dominated by one individual (and a few add ons Including myself). Then I saw some kind of break down in the numbers. Mr. Numbers here has to check that stuff out. So...I did

Think its going to be a while before I get hooked up around here.

I encountered a website called Sexual Astrology the other day. Now I am NOT a big astrology believer but I do think there are some insights to be gained there. I wouldn't basis a judgement on it but it is strange to see how true it can turn out to be.
For instance In the case for me and my wife, the first line was
"These two will get together for sex at some piont" (So now you see why I here).
In the meantime it says that the best match for Picese is Virgo.
Last week I struck up a conversation with a woman who was Carpricorn on another sight. The sparks flew Instantly. emails back and forth during the day, a real energy and connection, I was giddy, I couldnt wait for her to write back. I actual copied the SA Picses-Carpricorn link to her.
I was shocked by her response:
I lied about my birthday Turns out shes really a Virgo
Stay tuned things could get interesting.
UPDATE: As is all to typical here the sparks flew for 2 weeks and then ... well she must have been set a blaze and consumed by the fire. all of a sudden with out any indication... BOOM she was abducted by aliens and apparently removed from the planet or went into the witness protection program.

Last week was very interesting. My Gay Hookup Zone account went active at the same time my account with an other webiste AM "specializing" in people looking for affairs, went active. The only one that had a material development...
A Craigslist ad I put in a while back. Interesting, very interesting. and par for the course I contacted several woman that looked very appropriate and actually looked like they had potential-but I have heard nothing back. The silence is deafening. I am very slow and cautious with these arrangements. I am sure it will be worth the wait though.
The quest goes on..
Feel free to leave suggestions Iam not a newbie, but I am not exactly a veteran either.
