So I'm back in the DC area... I've been moving around a bit for work - mostly in Africa. At last count I was up to eight countries (and four continents) in the last 12 years... ouch, I guess that's not a real selling point for those looking for long-term relationships. Although I HAVE met one or two amazing people on this site that may turn out to be life long friends. So... about me: I'm a bright, confident, good-looking guy. I'm way past one-night stands and hooking up just because the chemistry is good. I really need to be around someone who stimulates my mind as much as my body. I've really got to go back to that last point. I'm a nice guy, so I'll guarantee a nice evening out - but I'm really looking for someone who captures my imagination - bright, confident, and fun. You get extra points for the kind of woman who scares guys off - I love a confident, strong, sexy woman who knows who she is. Any guy who is spooked by that is just not worth it. I know some out there are looking for that long-term, steady guy. I'm not sure I'm that guy. For one thing, I love what I do, and what I do best tends to happen in some pretty crazy places.... far away from here. (although Washington is beginning to reach a level of crazy that is remarkably it's own... let's not even get into discussions on debt ceilings, k?) For now, though, I have opportunity to finally be back in the US for a while - and I'm really enjoying it. It's nice to put down some roots and get my feet back and reconnected here in the US. If you can't tell already - I love talking about life, the universe, and everything. (bonus points to anyone from my generation that remembers that phrase). I love music - especially live jazz - being outdoors - hiking, biking... you name it. I'm an adventure junkie - and have spent weeks driving across some of the most amazing and remote places in Africa on safari - camping under the stars and tracking game (photos only). I love sunsets and coffee on a camp fire in the early, early mornings when the evening is just coming to an end. yeah... I've lost about 80 percent of you with that last paragraph... but those who are left, please... read on.
