Can you tell whe the football's on...Do the chat rooms empty or do you barely notice the difference?
Does the indifference of the US to football nullify the effect?
(Currently Germany are playing Italy)

Hi Anyone!
It's been an absolute age since my last post! I lost interest a bit in this site, though I'd check in and see what's happening....
Seems similar - I recognise most of the faces, though some seem to have vanished without trace!
I'll try and post a bit more, would particuarly like to hear from those of you in the Edinburgh / Midlothian area, perhaps we could get toghether or something - I'm a coffee house junkie which usually provides a good starting point! I'm looking to network a bit so it would be good to at least meet, even if we don't take things further.
If your live further away then perhaps we could swap photographs or something? anyone who's interested in chatting let me know and we can arrange a chatroom time!

Right,
It's been about 4 days since I went to the gym and my arms are still sore.
I's my own fault really, I focused on one thing for the entire session[shoulder press], and reached that stage where my brain sent the push instruction, but nothing happened! I had just run out of energy.
I thought I might try another exercise - crunches perhaps? , but that didn't work either.
I had the dreaded jelly-arms.
I was left stranded on the exercise mat. I tried to get up but as my arms wern't working I kind of just keeled over.
Thought it best to get out of there before I made a twat of myself, looked and was relieved to find that nobody had noticed. Great!
I scrambled to my feet and made for the door (pushing it with my shoulder as I went).
You'd think I'd have learned by now!
I'll try not to loose momentum though, I did 110 lengths of the (admitedly not Olympic) pool the week before and was looking to follow it up..
I was looking at my arms afterwards; trying to figure out if they looked bigger - then realised that if they did it was because they were swollen!
Cardio next week (if I make it!)

I've not thought of anything good to say lately,
(which is a bit of a problem if you're writing a blog!)
I've revently fantasised about having sex in a public place, but not getting caught, but it's something I've never done.

Where do you usually meet someone for the first time?
Do you prefer somewhere central(in a city), far from home, or local? Do you meet during the day or in the evening?
Alone or do you take a friend with you? Do you choose a coffee shop, pub, club art gallery or museum?
Do you go for a local haunt, somewhere with which you are familiar or unknown?

Well,
Haven’t been around much this week - have some hard career decisions to make. Looking to buy a flat, errands to run, projects that need finishing, friends I really need to look up again! - And as for the gym.. I haven’t been for weeks!
So I'm really busy - but I don't feel busy - more I feel detached - kind of like I'm evaluating myself.
I've whole circles of friends I haven’t spoken to in months..
I feel sure things will have changed by Wednesday though. Things will be decided by then. Hopefully I'll have a new energy, purpose and confidence. I'll be ready to move forward with my life rather than tread water. This will be a good thing.
You've probably realised by now that this blog entry is for me far more than it is for you.
I guess most of the viewings of this post over the next few weeks will be me looking to see what I said I'd do, how I said I'll feel and compare that with what actually happened.
I've never been one for resolutions, but it looks like January will be a time for me to set out and define the rest of 2006, not in a promissory way, but in terms of new set of missions.
Gosh. That was deep. Contrast that with the superficial crap from the last post.
I'll make the next one more interesting. That's a mission rather than a promise.

Hi All[yes, both of you!],
Rather than the usual drivel[which will resume again tomorrow - don't worry!], I thought I'd try to explore what women here are looking for...
Inspired in no small way by what I read on someone else's blog the other day, I'm trying to discover if women here would be interested in a kind of arrangement where he and she would arrange to meet, perhaps once a month for a bit of fun.
The Key Elements would be:
Regular day-of-the-month,
Discresion,
text/mail fliting between meets.
The arrangement would be suspended if either party became involved in a relationship and could be resumed if both parties became single again.
It might be an interesting way to fill a void...

Hmmm.
Had a look through some of the other blogs last night and (not exactly to my surprise) found that Recent Visitors are all male and People who like this blog, also like: bloggers are all female.
I must admit that I was a little surprised not to find more bloggers in edinburgh , lothian or scotland (that's the keywords overwith).
Furthermore in making this second post I'm moving very quickly to 'veteran edinburgh blogger' ! Or at least comparatively!
Are there any edinburgh women reading this?
(I know they exist beacause I've seen them!)
As a point of interest though....
I've noticed the old 'Contact me now for the shag of your life at' ....**mail address in obscure and undetectable format** an I'm curious if anyone would actually respond to that kind of message?
The other thing I wondered is that are women more likely to respond to that kind of message

Ah, another christmas over and here I am again, still on the shelf!
I must admit, I'm begining to regret not taking up that friend-of-a-friend a few months ago... It wasn't so much that I wasn't interested; There was another girl who I'd known for a few years, who I'd recently developed feelings for.... I was hoping that that might come to someting (....but that looks like a No! )
Anyway, suffice it to say that I didn't respond correctly to friend-of-a-friend's advances so she'll feel that she's been rejected.
THe situation was a bit more complicated her because friend and other girl work together and friend-of-a-friend is friend's best mate. At the moment, I had to choose between friend-of-a-friend and other girl.........At that point, I really wan't ready to do that and froze(I'd known friend-of-a-friend for 2 hours, and had liked other girl for 6 months).
Trouble is.. what to do next?
Do I nudge friend to try and arrange another encounter with friend-of-a-friend? I don't want to mess anyone about........when you meet through friends I'm guessing that a relationship with friend-of-a-friend would be a fairly full-on thing. Maybe I'll sound things out in the new year.
Or will I meet someone in the meantime. To be honest, maybe something a bit more casual and dare I say it...FUN!... Might be a bit more helpful to me at the moment...
I'll be in town at new-year anyway...Perhaps I'll meet someone wonderful (and hammered!)
Perhaps I'll write more tomorrow...maybe I'll even make it more easy to follow.....maybe the characters in this blog will appear again in future blogs? Who Knows?
